A student left early today to celebrate Passover with their family, and not long after she left a student asked what Passover was. Another Jewish student who was at school taught us about Passover, and then another student asked how it got its name. When he couldn't answer, they said we should research it, which we did. After talking all about it this conversation happened.
Kid 1: (said snottily) Why are we even talking about this?
Me: Well, someone asked where ..... was and some of your friends wanted to research more about it. I think it's great when we can learn more about someones culture and religion.
Kid 2: (said while looking straight at the girl) Boo ya!
