halloween

Wes and I are fans of game shows. Two years ago we were Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Reilly from Match Game.

This year we decided that we needed to bring back contestants from an awesome gameshow known as Supermarket Sweep.

The house party we were going to go to ended up being a bust, so we decided to go to Ego's, our favorite karaoke bar. It was a great decision! The crazies were out in full force. Surprisingly no one but Wes sang any Halloween songs. Knowing our history of Halloween together (the Match Game picture ended with Wes getting hit by a car...for real. We then had a city bus drive just the two of us home since he wouldn't be able to drive his car because his wheel chair was so busted up.) this was by far the most successful! Here are a few pictures from last night.

i'm quitting my job...

And joining the circus! For Angie's bachelorette party we went trapezing! (Is that even a word?) So we got to the trapeze place and first practiced doing our trick on a bar close to the ground. After that we got our belts on for the safety line and we started! The first time I climbed up the tiny ladder I was terrified! My legs were shaking so badly while I was holding the bar waiting to go. (Angie had to be pushed off on her first time.) So I couldn't get my legs up over the bar the first time and I was pretty mad. One of the guys started telling me what I did wrong and pushing my body into the position I should have done. The second time I was awesome!

After that one someone said I should quit my day job and join the circus. So I got to go 3 times and then it got serious. It was then time for the catch! So for the catch we do all of the same things, except at the end when we have our hands out we have to grab the girls hands. So when I saw this girl I was worried. She was pretty little, definitely smaller than me. How is she going to catch, and hold on to me? I had strict instructions from Angie's mom not to break any bones for the wedding. The first few people that went didn't catch her. One lady even let go WAY to early and literally face planted into the other lady! Luckily she had a harness on and there was a net, otherwise she would have totally died falling from that high. Pat did something similar on her catch...
Finally it was my turn and I was so worried I was going to do something wrong, and not get to do the catching part. Would I not get my knees up again? Would I let go to early and knock that girl off her bar? There were a lot of things going through my mind. Here's what happened.
I was totally awesome! I really should join the circus. I can't wait to go back and do new tricks!
