portraits

It's that time of year again! In the first week of school we do a lot of get to know you stuff. One of the things we do is partner them up and they interview each other, and then they draw a portrait of each other. I of course give them tips on how to draw faces, remind them to try to match the colors of their eyes, skin, etc. Of course tears ensue from those who can't draw and are being made fun of by their partner. We definitely still do this more for our amusement than anything else since the kids don't really like doing it. Here are the gems from this year. (Unfortunately I have an even number of kids so no one drew me. Although I kind of want to make each of them draw me just for the fun of it.)

This last one was brought to me with no hair on the top of the head, and I made him go back because she was bald. Also please note the "freckles" all over her face, and her mismatched teeth. Nichole said she looks like a meth addict and she couldn't stop laughing. This is definitely one of my favorites. Enjoy!
